Brian attended The University of New Hampshire and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a focus on management and accounting. He then continued his education at Penn State University where he obtained a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on management.
Brian began his construction career working part-time as a laborer for multiple divisions of The Gildea Group from 2004 to 2010. After completing his education, Brian began working as a project manager for The Gildea Group, servicing all the divisions within the company. He worked alongside his father, Roger, on several higher education, industrial, and sophisticated concrete projects. He particularly excelled at working alongside his uncle to expand the pipeline division into the booming Marcellus and Utica shale play market, advancing the firm into large-scale oil and gas projects. He was promoted to vice president of the pipeline division and took over as president at the end of 2018.
Within The Gildea Group, Brian is responsible for overall corporate management and leading the company through its continued commitment to the highest standards of safety, ethics, and core family values. He works closely with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure the quality and timely completion of each project. He collaborates with the management teams to assist in corporate decision-making, as well as support the overall operation of The Gildea Group. Through his knowledge and expertise, Brian has helped to lead The Gildea Group through a decade of amazing growth and development.
Brian Gildea is active in the community. He received the Emerging Leader Male Award in 2021 from the Meadville-Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a graduate of Leadership Meadville, the Chamber’s leadership development program. Brian also sits on the Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County (EPACC) board.
Managing Partner
A native of Northwest Pennsylvania, DJ earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology with a minor in management from Penn State University, The Behrend College. After joining The Gildea Group, he’s held positions of project manager, estimator, and most recently managing partner where he oversees all business operations and individual projects.
In addition to company management, DJ is an active member of the Meadville community, including sitting on the boards for Meadville Medical Center, Meadville Water Authority, Meadville-Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce, as well as serving as president of the Meadville Country Club. He is also a graduate of Leadership Meadville, the Chamber’s leadership development program.
His love of sports keeps him involved with Meadville Bulldog hockey, where he regularly provides color commentary for varsity games, along with coaching and sponsoring numerous youth sports throughout the year.
